Keeping Tea Fresh and Food-Safe
Card and paperboard on their own are not a moisture barrier. For loose leaf tea we recommend a sealed, food-grade inner bag or pouch inside the printed box, or a lined tin. Individually wrapped tea bag envelopes do the same job for tea bags.
If tea will touch the packaging directly, the material must be suitable for food contact. Tell us how your tea will be packed and we will suggest the right mix of box, liner and finish. Your pack must also show the information UK food law requires, such as the name of the product, the net quantity and a best-before date, so we leave space for it in the design.
