What Is Custom Spice Packaging?
Custom spice packaging covers the printed boxes, sleeves and gift sets that hold your spices, blends and seasonings. Most spices are packed in a sealed jar, tin or pouch first, and the printed box adds protection, shelf presence and space for your story.
Spices lose colour and aroma when exposed to light, air and moisture, so the right combination of inner pack and outer box matters. Premium spices such as saffron often use small rigid boxes, while everyday blends suit simple cartons or sleeves.
- Boxes for jars, tins, pouches and sachets
- Gift sets with an insert for each spice
- Clear panels for ingredients and allergens
- Colour coding across a range
Popular Spice Box Styles
Every style is made to your product's exact size and printed with your artwork.
Tuck-end carton
A simple retail box for a single jar or pouch.
Sleeve over a jar
A printed sleeve that slides over a jar or tin.
Gift set box
A rigid or drawer box with an insert for several spices.
Small rigid box
A premium box for saffron and other high-value spices.
Labelling and Food Safety for Spice Packaging
Spices sold in the UK need clear labelling, including the name of the food, the net quantity, a best-before date and the business name and address. Blends must list their ingredients, and any of the 14 major allergens, such as mustard, celery or sesame, must be emphasised in that list. We plan the panels so this information is easy to read.
If spices will touch the packaging directly, the material must be suitable for food contact. In most cases we recommend a sealed jar, tin or food-grade pouch inside the printed box.
We are packaging specialists, not food safety advisers. Please confirm your label content before print.

Custom Spice Packaging: Frequently Asked Questions
Can spices go straight into a printed box?
We recommend a sealed jar, tin or food-grade pouch inside the box. It protects colour and aroma and keeps the spice away from the board.
What should a spice label show?
Usually the name, net quantity, best-before date and business name and address, plus the ingredients with allergens emphasised for blends. Confirm the final wording with your food safety adviser.
Can you make spice gift sets?
Yes. We make rigid and drawer gift boxes with an insert for each jar or tin.
Do you make boxes for saffron?
Yes. Small rigid boxes with foil and a fitted insert are popular for saffron.
Can I colour code my spice range?
Yes. Keeping one layout and changing the colour for each spice makes a range easy to shop.
What is the minimum order?
From 50 units per design.
